Former moguls world champion Guilbaut Colas of France is out of the Olympics due to a knee injury.

Colas was attempting to go over the final jump on the difficult course at Rosa Khutor Extreme Park when he landed awkwardly and tore the ACL in his left knee. The 2011 world champion hasnt skied regularly since 2011. A back injury forced him to miss the 2012-13 season and he had just one Top 10 finish in the run-up to Sochi. Colas is a two-time Olympic veteran. He finished sixth in Vancouver in 2010 and 10th in Turin in 2006.

Patrick Kane and the Chicago Blackhawks were proof of that on Wednesday night. Kane scored twice including the game-winner with 18 seconds left as the Blackhawks, aided by a few lucky bounces, scored three straight goals in the third period to win 3-2 over the Calgary Flames. Kanes team-leading 14th and 15th goals give him a career-high 12-game points streak. "Its nice to be on a streak like that, try to produce consistently. I think the biggest thing is just to try and go into every game with a clean slate and take it for what it is," Kane said. "You have the chance to play with good players, playing on a pretty hot power play right now, youre going to get some points." The game-winner came after Sven Baertschi lost the puck at the Flames blue-line.
