The Jets Get: RW Devin Setoguchi. 26-year-old Devin Setoguchi has been a
consistent goal-scorer, tallying between 0.25 and 0.31 goals per game in five of
his six NHL seasons, elevating to 0.38 goals per game during 2008-2009, when he
scored a career-high 31 goals and 65 points while playing alongside Joe Thornton
in San Jose. Nevertheless, Setoguchis consistent goal production shouldnt be
ignored. Over the last six seasons, Setoguchi is one of 31 players to score at a
rate of at least one goal every four games in all six years and he did so last
year despite playing 14:26 per game, his lowest time on ice per game since his
rookie season. With good size and speed, Setoguchi should be a nice addition to
the Jets, either on the second line with Evander Kane on the left wide and
either Olli Jokinen or rookie Mark Scheifele in the middle, or the Jets could
give Setoguchi a crack on the top line, and move Blake Wheeler to the second
line as a means of balancing production. In either case, the Jets have upgraded
an attack that was tied for 15th with 2.62 goals per game last season. Segotuchi

picks, with a little more than 30% either having played at least 100 NHL games
or very likely to cross that threshold. The Wild could afford to move Setoguchi
because they have a number of options on the wing already. They have veterans
Zach Parise, Jason Pominville, Dany Heatley and Matt Cooke, along with young
wingers Jason Zucker, Charlie Coyle and newly-acquired Nino Niederreiter, so
with those six wingers on hand, they have enough options to fill out the top
