The Kansas City Chiefs have placed the franchise tag on All-Pro safety Eric Berry, who overcame cancer to return to the field in 2015. The 27-year-old Berry will make $10.806m under the franchise tag. Its the fourth time in five years that Kansas City has designated a franchise player.The Chiefs have until July 15 to work out a long-term contract with Berry. Otherwise, he would play for the tag salary. He cannot talk to other clubs.
