prosecution agreement with the State Attorneys Office, meaning he can avoid a
conviction on his record if he meets a number of conditions.Wells and fellow
freshman Tyrie Cleveland were arrested in July for firing BB guns into an
on-campus residence hall. The charge was reduced Tuesday from a felony to a
misdemeanor.Cleveland is not eligible for deferred prosecution because of a past
shoplifting charge in Houston. Cleveland has a Sept. 22 court date, where he is
expected to accept a plea deal.Wells must pay $979.80 in restitution, pay $100
in prosecution costs, and donate $150 to a child advocacy center or perform 12
hours of community service. If he completes those in six months, the criminal
mischief charge will be dismissed.Cleveland is expected to get similar
