title.Whincups Red Bull Racing team have launched a $10,000 protest to the
Supercars court of appeal after being hit with a 15-second penalty which cost
him victory.Whincup crossed the Mount Panorama line first on Sunday but was
relegated to 11th for his role in a crash on lap 150 in which Scott McLaughlin
plowed into Garth Tander.Davison said while Whincup had every right to appeal,
he wasnt concerned.Were not nervous at all, Davison said in Sydney on
Monday.Theyll appeal to get something changed but in terms of our win, we know
thats final. Weve got the trophy. We won the race.We were told with 12 laps to
go that were the leaders. I wasnt even looking at Jamie, I wasnt racing him. I
was racing the guy behind me.Im not stressed at all.Davison finished 0.14
seconds in front of Shane van Gisbergen to claim a famous win.He said it was
emotional to have the trophy handed to him by Peter Brocks brother Phil 10 years
after the death of the Australian motorsport great.Davison also paid tribute to
good mate Mark Porter who died while racing at Bathurst in 2006.Porters son
Flynn was at the track over the weekend and Davison took time out to take him
under his wing.Davison also said he had no sympathy for Tander, whose race was
finished after McLaughlin slammed into his Holden.He said Whincup, McLaughlin
and Tander all contributed to the incident and he wouldnt be the last hard luck
story on the mountain.Its racing - its not he first and its not the last time,

opportunistic.Its rewarded him lots of great results on the track. He decided to
go for glory and unfortunately the contact was made and they all played a part
in the incident to be honest.

was raped by former player Tevin Elliot, who was later convicted and sent to
prison.Former Baylor student Jasmin Hernandez sued in March, naming Briles,
former athletic director Ian McCaw and the Baylor Board of Regents as
co-defendants. She alleges they violated federal Title IX rules against gender
discrimination in programs that receive federal aid. The Associated Press
generally doesnt identify sexual assault victims, but Hernandez has spoken
publicly to draw attention to the case.Briles lawyers argue that he cant be sued
as an individual in a Title IX lawsuit. They also say claims that Briles ignored
warnings of a sexual predator on his team were based on hearsay, and that any
action against him would fall outside of a two-year statute of limitations.
Hernandez was attacked in 2012 and didnt file her lawsuit until 2016.Briles
motion argues that the Title IX claims against McCaw and the regents should also
be dismissed and that he cant be held liable for the attack on Hernandez under
state law.It is well established in Texas that as a general rule, a person has
no legal duty to protect aanother from the criminal acts of another, Briles

apologize to Hernandez but didnt show. Briles said he never spoke with Hernandez
or her lawyers.Zalkins statement to ESPN was for the sole purposes of defaming
the character, credibility, and reputation of Coach Briles and deprive him of a
fair trial in a Court of law, Briles motion said, accusing Zalkin of waging a
media war against the coach.Briles motion against Zalkin also emphatically
renewed his insistence that he does not want to settle with Hernandez because he
