It's not without logic that a drop back when under pressure and slinging the ball will likely result in less arm power - but making those adjustments according to the plan isn't always natural. At the point of catch, receivers don't seem to be bothered and they adjust as needed. In the past, in EA's Tiger Woods PGA Tour series, ball spin could be a lifesaver after the swing. Madden 24's passing feels eerily similar.
The plethora of meters and bars and icons and circles that this generation's Madden continues to move further from real-world simulation, even as advertising spins using the physics engine's more realistic. There's a tug-of-war between the attempts to make Madden more video-game-like and a dependance on technology to help hitting impacts or ball movement
