A few had...  moreAre you kinda wondering how on earth this awesome idea came to pass? Well, I promise it wasn’t forged in fire at the top of a mountain. Geek Market was inspired by geeks in the community, for geeks, nothing more. We looked around and saw some vendors had business cards, some didn't. A few had websites. Even fewer had working merchant websites, but they were somewhat clunky and didn't offer the best shipping or payment options. Ordering from a vendor after an event was a hassle, and we could see our merchants were frustrated and struggling. So, we got together and sat around a table at one of South Africa’s most memorable geek events—ICON—and had a long discussion with vendors that just didn’t have the time or money or even the technology of getting their hard-worked creations onto the Web for people to see and buy.
