导出博客文章The Boston Marathon bombings in 2013 cost runner Roseann Sdoia her leg. She
found someone in the aftermath, though, whos now a huge part of her
life.Following the attack, Sdoia was rescued by Mike Materia, a firefighter. The
two got engaged this past weekend, according to a report from WCVB-TV in Boston.
Their engagement photo comes complete with a heartfelt hug and an adorable dog
staring down the camera. What could be better?Sdoia became a symbol of strength
following the marathon. The Boston Red Sox, her favorite team, came to the
hospital to visit her, and she received thousands of donations to help pay her
medical bills.Im taking all of this information into my head and hoping that
moving forward, knowing what they have done, will propel me to do what I want to
do, Sdoia told ABC News in 2013. When theres a tragedy like this, it does
nothing but bring people together.Looks like she was right.
